The Nature Trust of British Columbia

The Nature Trust of BC conserves biodiveristy in BC by a) acquiring lands (via direct acquisitions, donations, covenants, life estates or land lease) of high ecological significance, and b) inviting scientists, business leaders, local land managers and youth crews to manage important habitats. Beginning in 1971 the organization has invested over $80 million to secure 70,000+ hectares (170,000+ acres) of land (map), thanks to regional and international support from conservation partners.

Watch the video below for a quick introduction of the history and mission of the organization and how it strives to leave the best gift to future BC generations.
